Help me run to beat Cancer!
I am the race coordinator for the 2nd Annual ManchVegas 5k to support Dartmouth's Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Funds raised from this event will further cancer research and provide patient supportive services such as support groups, classes and massage.
This is a cause that is dear to me. I am a breast cancer survivor and received my care at Norris Cotton. I want others to have access to the compassionate and world class care I received from this amazing medical facility.
My paternal grandmother was also a breast cancer survivor and my maternal grandmother died from leukemia.
Utmost in my heart, my father was also a cancer survivor, having lived through both breast and prostate cancer. His death two years ago from liver and bile duct cancer is the main reason I work for this cause. No one should have to suffer through cancer so many times. No one should have to suffer even just once!
Coincidently, the 2019 race takes place on the second anniversary of my dad's death. It will be an emotional day for me.
Please support my work, honor my dad, or give to the memory of your own loved one. Let's wipe out this disease for the next generation.
Thank you for your support!
