Welcome to the my personal page
This year I will be participating in the 38th Annual Prouty, held on July 13, 2019, in Hanover, New Hampshire. I have set my sights on cycling 100 miles to fight cancer! All of us have been touched by cancer through family, friends, or personally...all three for me. I'm happy to say I'm 24 years out from my bout with breast cancer, and grateful that I can help others facing cancer.
Money raised helps to fund cancer research and patient supportive services at Dartmouth's Norris Cotton Cancer Center, one of only 49 comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute. Supporting The Prouty means supporting researchers and clinicians who are working on innovative ways to prevent, diagnose, treat and hopefully, one day, cure cancer. You’re also supporting important patient supportive services that would otherwise not be funded such as support groups, massage, writing and arts therapy programs.
I am proud to be on Dr. Mary Chamberlin's team (my sister-in-law), along with Frank, my sister, and my brother. Dartmouth Without Borders is a growing team of doctors, nurses, scientists and philanthropists committed to improving health education and cancer care at home and around the world. "We participate in cervical cancer screening and genotyping in Honduras, cancer screening programs in Kosovo, Health education and cancer care in Tanzania and Rwanda, Tele-mentoring in Peru, Rwanda, Haiti and the rural Northeast US! A portion of funds raised for the Prouty will be matched to be earmarked specifically for our Global Oncology Education, Training and Patient Support Programs."
