Join us for the 15th annual CHaD HERO on Sunday, October 18, 2020!
Although we hope to be able to be back on the Dartmouth College green in a sea of superhero costumes come October 18, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, CHaD HERO HQ is exploring all possible scenarios for holding the 2020 CHaD HERO. This means that we are preparing for everything from business as usual to hosting a 100% virtual CHaD HERO. We will provide an update on July 1. Rest assured, CHaD HERO Day will remain a day of celebration and joy, supporting the patients and programs at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD).
In order to support the HEROES on the frontline of the pandemic, it is important that we as a community are maintaining social distance, washing our hands, staying at home whenever possible, and following CDC guidelines during this public health crisis. There are many ways to stay active while at home and social distancing. We've put together a list of resources to help you be HEROES at Home.
We will continue to keep you in the loop with any changes. Please feel free to reach out to CHaD HERO HQ at email@example.com if you have any questions.
We wish you much health and happiness and hope to see you soon.
CHaD HERO HQ
The CHaD HERO is the premier fundraising and athletic event benefiting CHaD, Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Starting in 2006 as just a half marathon run, it has grown to also include a competitive 5K run, Cam's Course 1 Mile Fun Run, 5K walk, a 5 mile wooded hike, a limited entry 25 or 50 mile bike ride, one AMAZING family-friendly street party, and the KidZone. There is something for everyone!
CHaD is anywhere kids receive care at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and proceeds from the event support kids and families receiving care at any of CHaD's 13 locations across NH and VT. Check out the 2019 CHaD HERO Annual Report for details on your impact!
We won't lie to you, the USATF-certified half marathon course is challenging, but all of the courses capture the essence of fall in New England starting and ending on the picturesque Dartmouth College Green in Hanover, NH.
Because a HERO'S work is never done, lace up your shoes and help us reach our goal of raising $840,000 to make sure that all CHaD kids get the best care, in the right place, at the right time, every time.
WHY CHaD MATTERS
CHaD HERO proceeds are used to help CHaD kids with critical services such as support when they are in pediatric intensive care and management of chronic illnesses, as well as patient and family support services that are so important to the well-being of kids and their futures.
