Support strong carbon pollution standards

Urge EPA Administrator Jackson to set carbon pollution standards for power plants

Summer heat records are being broken across the country, and scientists warn that this is just a glimpse of what we can expect with global warming—along with serious impacts on our health from increased air pollution.  The Obama administration has proposed the first-ever nationwide carbon pollution standards for new power plants, but the coal companies, many utilities and other polluters are working to derail these standards before they’re even finalized.

Message

Dear EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, CC: Senators

Thank you for proposing carbon pollution standards for new power plants. Carbon pollution spewing from power plants threatens Americans' health. It fuels global warming which increases smog, making it harder for children to breathe, and contributing to thousands of deadly asthma attacks, heart attacks and other illnesses.

Sincerely,
