Farming should help the environment, not hurt it. Unfortunately, farming today is dominated today by factory farms that pollute or rivers and lakes, and contaminate our food with chemicals. It doesn’t have to be this way.

A lot of farmers are growing food in a way that doesn’t pollute the environment. So we want to create food hubs that allow small, sustainable farms to work together and encourage more farmers to grow our food in an environmentally friendly way.

Let your legislators know you support local, sustainable farms.

Support local farms

Dear [Decision Maker],

We should grow our food in ways that don't hurt the environment, but preserve and protect it instead.

Please improve access to local, healthy food by supporting the Local Farms, Food, and Jobs Act of 2013, which will help small, sustainable farmers join together to meet the needs of the local economy and bring the food they grow to more North Carolina restaurants, schools and families.
