Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore would love for you to join thousands who have fundraised, donated, and volunteered to make this event a great success for more than two decades. You can make a real impact on the lives of real people in our local community. It's easy to get started... Here's HOW:

 

  • Create a team to fundraise and play with your friends, family, and/or coworkers. Teams can be any size, but most are 6-10 players. If you have fewer than 6, we will provide fill-in players. If you have more than 6, they can rotate on/off the court. Everyone can help fundraise and build that team spirit!
  • If you had a team last year, you can bring them all right back with you. Just sign in, select Join a Team, then Find a Team and select from the search results.
  • If you don't have a team, you can register as a player and we'll find one for you to join, or sign up to volunteer as a fill-in player.

 

  • If playing volleyball just isn't your thing but you have that wonderful mix of philanthropic and competitive spirit, you can still create a team and fundraise for Easterseals. Just choose Virtual Player when registering.
  • Just want to lend a hand and be part of the fun? Click Register and Volunteer. You can learn more about these opportunities on our Volunteer page.

 

The registration fee is $25 per person and counts towards your fundraising goal. Each team is asked to fundraise toward a goal of $1,500; for a team of 10 people, that's only $150 per team member. Your personal and team pages come with tools and templates to share and invite others through email and social media. There is no minimum required to play. Just do your best to boost participation and awareness for the Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge!

 

WHO: Anyone can join us. You choose the best role for you.

WHAT: Fundraising events and activities are hosted by our teams and listed on the Calendar page, leading up to our day of fun (and somewhat competitive) volleyball play, and continuing to the end of our fiscal year: August 31, 2025. All donations support the programs and services of Easterseals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore.

WHERE/WHEN: The Volleyball Challenge takes place on March 8, 2025 at University of Delaware's Carpenter Sports Building (26 N. College Avenue, Newark, DE 19711). Time slots for volleyball play will be offered in 60-minute and 90-minute increments throughout the day.

WHY: We hope that by participating in the Volleyball Challenge you will have achieved or seen the following results:

• Build a stronger team and learn about inclusion
• Improve comradery with your coworkers and friends
• Gain a deeper sense of awareness for the disability community
• Create solutions and change lives through your fundraising efforts


REMEMBER: All fundraising helps people with disabilities, childrens, veterans, and seniors meet milestones, attain meaningful work, and remain a part of their community through Easterseals programs and services. Our participants need you. We welcome and thank you.
