THANK YOU for invest in NYC's Food Assistance Programs!

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a supporter of Food Bank For New York City, I'm writing to thank you for your leadership in advancing New York City's anti-hunger priorities in the FY20 City Budget! As proposals from Washington D.C. continue to threaten the anti-hunger safety net, strong investment from our City is essential for addressing New York City's Meal Gap of 208 million meals and protecting our neighbors from hunger.

I applaud the restoration of Breakfast in the Classroom funding, investment in campus pantries and emergency food programs, as well as expanded support for meals at senior programs across New York City. For New Yorkers struggling to put food on the table, every meal matters. I urge you to join me in continuing to support the important work that Food Bank For New York City does to protect New Yorkers from hunger.

I also encourage you and your staff to continue to witness this work in action by visiting an emergency food or campus pantry program in the coming year, and to take every opportunity to support these community organizations that are the last line of defense against hunger. I look forward to working with you as we continue to level the nutritional playing field. Thank you for your work to ensure our City's priorities are to do the most good for those with the least.

Sincerely,
