On Tuesday evening, despite making some very good additions to their budget, the House of Delegates kept in place a new pilot program for the funding of long-acting contraceptive devices (LARCs), and we believe that most - if not all - of that $6 million will flow directly into the hands of Planned Parenthood and the other abortion centers in Virginia. The Senate appears likely to follow suit, but with $10.8 million. After years of successfully "defunding Planned Parenthood," this massive subsidization of the abortion industry by Virginia taxpayers is simply unacceptable. Our message is simple: Virginia taxpayers should not be propping up the nation's largest abortion provider, period. Please contact your legislators to send them that message while there is still time for them to correct this in their final budget.
Dear [Decision Maker],
The "LARC" pilot program in the House and Senate budgets has been exposed as effectively being a multi-million dollar backdoor "slush fund" for Virginia's abortion facilities. Please don't use our tax dollars to subsidize the abortion industry.
