Cooking is so much easier when you know how to handle a knife.
In this class, we will show you how to select, sharpen, care for and store your knives. Then you’ll learn how to slice, dice, chop and chiffonade like a pro. Added bonus: you’ll go home with a ready-to-use vegetable bounty, in addition to recipes that incorporate your veggies*!
We’ll have chef’s knives for you to use, but feel free to bring your own to use in class.
SFC Farmers’ Market vendor, Weige Knives, will join us to show you how to select, sharpen, care for and store your knives. Bring your knives from home to have them professionally sharpened during class for a few extra dollars
This is a hands-on class, so please dress appropriately for the kitchen (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes, hair tie for long hair, etc.). We will not cook in this class; please eat beforehand.
*Please bring many large containers or zip-top bags to pack your chopped veggies.
Classes are for adults. Youth ages 12 and up may attend with purchase of an additional ticket and close parent/guardian supervision during class.
Registration closes two business days before class. All attendees must purchase tickets to attend. No walk-ins allowed.
* All payments are final and non-refundable. However, we would be happy to transfer your spot in this class to someone else if you cannot attend.
