With SFC’s new vision, we’re challenging ourselves to adapt to Austin’s rapidly changing local food system to make the biggest impact we can. We’re stepping up where we’re needed and stepping back where we’re not. With this in mind, starting January 2020, we will no longer be hosting our own Public Cooking Classes. Instead we are opening up our space for others to teach cooking classes of their own!

6:30-8:30pm. Learn how to slice, dice, chop and chiffonade like a pro. You'll go home with a ready-to-use vegetable bounty, and recipes that use those veggies!
10:00am-1:00pm. Join SFC Farmers' Market Vendor El Cruz Ranch for our annual tamalada! Learn how to make authentic Mexican tamales step-by-step, from making fresh masa and fillings to wrapping and steaming. You'll even create your own tamales to take home, ready to freeze or cook and eat.
