Please support the Virtual Food Drive of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association to benefit the Freestore Foodbank. From now until December 30, you can help Freestore Foodbank continue its mission of feeding our community's hungry. The Freestore Foodbank (FF) distributes more than 18 million meals in our community, across 20 counties in SW Ohio, Northern Ky., and SE Indiana in partnership with over 500 agencies! Since the pandemic, FF saw a 40% increase in SNAP applications; 1 M pounds of food distributed at Liberty Street Market; 40% decrease in food rescue donations; the National Guard helped pack 4.2M lbs. of food in senior and emergency boxes and power packs to feed our community.; Healthy Harvest Mobile Market has doubled in fresh produce distribution in 12 neighborhoods.
The pandemic had staggering ripple effects across the community, but our commitment remains the same ending hunger while co-creating communities that thrive. Holiday Meals is a communitywide campaign to helps raise critically-needed funds to offset the cost of acquiring and distributing more fresh foods such as produce, poultry, turkeys and hams typically eaten during the holiday season.
