Why I paddle against Cancer
I paddle in honor of my dad, my sister, my brother, my aunt, and all my uncles who are cancer survivors. I paddle in memory of friends and family members who lost their battle to cancer. They fought the good fight. I paddle for all my family members and friends who are still in their battle with cancer to give them the strength to endure. I paddle to show support to those that are caretakers, spouses, and the support system for someone who is battling cancer.
I know the research that we do at KIYATEC on ovarian, breast, glioblastoma, and small cell lung cancer/rare tumors will lead to earlier diagnosis, more treatment options, and better survival outcomes. Our research is made possible by donations from friends and family members like you. Join me in supporting cancer patients in the Upstate and all over the US by donating to the 15th annual Dragon Boat Upstate Festival.
By making a donation in support of my Dragon Boat team, you help provide vital cancer research and survivorship programs to cancer patients in our community. So many of us have been touched by cancer in some way and this event provides a way for us to honor and remember loved ones that have faced or continue to face the disease.
