I personally see the joy, relief and comfort that these research and survivorship programs bring to patients and family members who have experienced cancer, either first-hand or second-hand.
So many of us have been touched by cancer in some way and this event provides a way for us to honor and remember loved ones that have faced or continue to face the disease. My grandmother and aunt both died from cancer and my uncle is a survivor.
