Pops For Pups
It all started on the last day of 5th grade in Atlanta during study hall. My teacher gave us a summer assignment called the five dollar challenge. This challenge is where my teacher, Mrs. Trapani, gave us five dollars. She said we could either donate the money to charity, or we could buy something to sell and then donate that money to charity. I love dogs so much that I came up with the idea of washing dogs. When I hopped into the car to tell my mom my awesome idea, she told me that it wasn’t a good idea considering I had never washed a dog in my life and that dog supplies are very expensive. After thinking it through I decided I wanted to run to our local supermarket because we needed something from there. When I walked in, there it was. A giant sign by the bin of Fun Pops said 2 for $5. It was like fate. So, we purchased them. After a few days of thinking it through, we decided on the name Pops For Pups. All the money went to the Georgia SPCA. Over the course of the summer, selling door to door, at the pool, and in a neighborhood round about, I made$1050. They SPCA was very excited to receive the money, in fact they even remodeled. Now that I’m here, I want to take it a step further. I want to try and raise 100,000 for the Canine F.E.T.C.H. Unit over at GHS. In August, I met the F.E.T.C.H. Unit and fell in love with them. I prayed about it and up came the F.E.T.C.H. Unit again. I knew that the F.E.T.C.H Unit was perfect. After meeting with them, we decided that the 100,000 will be an endowment for one of the dogs. This seems like a huge goal, but with the help of you we can reach it.
