Help green the Internet!

clean energy

Every day the Internet enables us to connect with old friends and family, catch up on the latest news and share beautiful photos and videos from our daily lives.

But the Internet requires a ton of energy — its electricity use would already rank sixth among countries in the world. Currently several of the most popular social media companies including Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr and LinkedIn power their sites with coal and other dirty energy that pollute our environment and harm our climate.

The good news is that they don’t have to! In fact, tech giants Facebook, Google and Apple recently committed to harnessing renewable energy like wind and solar to power their data centers. There is plenty of clean energy for our favorite social media companies to use — they just have to hear from us that it’s worth the switch.

Send a message to the CEOs of Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin and Tumblr today encouraging them to follow in the footsteps of Google, Facebook and Apple and leave dirty polluting energy sources behind.

Dear Dick Costolo (CEO of Twitter), David Karp (CEO of Tumblr), Jeff Weiner (CEO of LinkedIn) and Ben Silbermann (CEO of Pinterest),
