Bees and other pollinators are being killed by dangerous pesticides.
In fact, bee populations have been in decline for a decade. Just in the last year, the United States lost 44% of honey bee colonies -- a significant jump from the year before.
These bee deaths are unacceptable. It’s also a huge problem for the wildlife habitat and farms they pollinate. Bees pollinate more than one hundred staple crop species including the fruits, nuts and vegetables that make up a third of your diet.
Luckily there is hope. A new Senate bill could reduce the use of bee killing pesticides and massively increase the amount of plants and habitat pollinators need to flourish.
