Two weeks ago, the residents of the Gulf and the nation marked the three year memorial of the BP disaster. The Gulf’s ecosystems and people are still suffering, but billions of dollars in BP fines coming to this region through the RESTORE Act are a once in a lifetime opportunity to build a more resilient Gulf for future generations. Unfortunately, many state and local politicians seem more interested in grabbing this money for environmentally destructive projects.
GRN and a diverse coalition of over 50 organizations joined together to release
the Gulf Future Guidance for Sustainable Restoration to guide the Gulf Coast
Ecosystem Restoration Council as it plans for RESTORE dollars. Take action
below to tell the members of the Council to make sure RESTORE counts for a
healthy Gulf Future:
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from Gulf Restoration Network.
