Event Information

Where do I get my Walk T-Shirt?
All registered walkers will receive a Walk t-shirt. These can be picked up on the Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo campus during Walk Kick-Off Day: 

  • Wednesday, May 17 from 2-6 pm
This is your opportunity to skip the registration line the morning of Walk Day.



Do I need to register for the 2023 Hospice Memorial Walk online?
Yes, anyone interested in joining the Hospice Memorial Walk can register online by 5/19/23 for $35. Registration after this date and on walk day will be $50. 

All registered walkers will receive an official 2023 Walk t-shirt. Click on the REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR JOIN A TEAM button and you will be guided through the registration process. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt.

How old do I need to be to register?
In order to receive a t-shirt we ask that you are 13 years or older.

What does my registration fee get me?
The registration counts towards your fundraising goal and ensures you will receive your Walk t-shirt. On Walk Day all registered walkers will receive a picnic lunch.

How do I know if my registration went through?
After you've registered, you should receive a confirmation email. You will also be able to login and view your Participant Center, where you can edit your profile and look at your donations.

How do I form a Walk Team?
Click on the FORM A TEAM button and you will be guided through the registration process. It is the role of the Team Captain to form the team. Once the Team Captain has registered and created the team, they can invite all the other team members to join.


Who can receive fundraising rewards?
All registered walkers are eligible to earn fundraising rewards. Check out the 2023 rewards! Click on FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES in the FOR WALKERS drop down.

When will I receive my fundraising rewards?

Fundraising rewards will be available to pick up on Walk Kick-Off Day, which is Wednesday, May 17, from 2-6 pm.


What is Hats Off To Hospice?
All walkers who raise $500 + automatically join our Hats Off To Hospice Club. These walkers will receive a commemorative Hats Off To Hospice hat and pin. They will also receive special Walk Day perks along with an invitation to a summer ice cream party.

What is the Participant Center?
Once you are registered for this year's Walk, you will have access to your Participant Center. To get there, click on "Login" on the Hospice Memorial Walk homepage. Here, you can see your donations and manage your profile. This is where you can change your picture on your personal fundraising page, write your personal appeal, and update your fundraising goal.

What happens if I do not meet my fundraising goal?
Do not fear your fundraising goal! Even if you do not reach your goal you will still receive your Walk t-shirt. Fundraising goals are a great tool to motivate yourself and team members, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself!

Do you accept checks? Who should they be made out to?
Yes, we accept checks. Please make them out to “Hospice Foundation” and in the memo section of the check be sure to include the name of the walker you are donating to.

How long do I have to fundraise?
All walkers have until Wednesday, May 31, 2023 to fundraise and turn in donations. Feel free to send donations to:
