Brenda Flaherty Community Fund

Brenda Flaherty is a long-standing champion for high quality health care, and a strong advocate for recognition of population health.  She has advanced the need for Hamilton Health Sciences to help address some of the socio-economic factors that negatively impact people’s health.

In honour of Brenda’s unwavering commitment to patients, the Brenda Flaherty Community Fund has been established and will be used to support patients who are struggling with even life’s basic necessities.

The Brenda Flaherty Community Fund will help our Health Links program staff to have the resources to help patients living in very dire circumstances.  Often they are called upon to purchase food, clothing, bedding, bus tickets and household items until social and community services are organized.

The Brenda Flaherty Community Fund will help to meet some of those needs.
