You can be the safety net for 3,700+ older adults and their families

The public health crisis has shown just how many of our older neighbors need protecting. Since March, Iona staff members have been working hard to meet the growing needs of older adults, their families, and caregivers from a distance:

  • Online exercise classes and social meet-ups are keeping older people connected and active.

  • Virtual support groups and therapy for caregivers and adults with depression and anxiety are a mental health lifeline.

  • Check-in phone calls and socially distanced home visits ensure that those without support never feel alone.

  • Weekly meal deliveries—up by 250% since the crisis began—help prevent senior hunger and malnutrition.

But in order to sustain Iona’s safety net into the coming months, we need the support of people like you.
