Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) is a national nonprofit with the mission of connecting people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support. We do this through a variety of programs and services, including national conferences, regional meetings, webinars and twitter chats, publications, a toll-free Breast Cancer Helpline, and a website that is easy to navigate and full of information.

LBBC was founded in 1991 by a radiation oncologist who discovered there weren’t many resources for those diagnosed with breast cancer, and facing treatment. She created LBBC as a place where a woman can learn more about her diagnosis and treatment options, as well as post-treatment care, and connect with others.

As the organization has grown and increased its scope, it has become nationally recognized for its high quality medically reviewed information, peer support and personal connection for women around the country. We address the needs of those who are newly diagnosed, in treatment, in recovery, living with a history of breast cancer, or living with metastatic (stage IV) breast cancer, as well as caregivers and healthcare professionals. Our programs and services address not only treatment and medical decisions, but also quality of life issues including psychological impacts and overall wellness. We meet people where they are with the information they need in a form they can use, whether that is in person, online, or in print.
