President Obama Took Action. Now it's Congress' Turn.

Take Action Now:  President Obama announced that his administration will provide relief to millions of undocumented immigrants living in the shadows. We commend President Obama’s executive action, but the only way to fix our broken immigration system is for Congress to act. Send the letter below to your representative and urge Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

On November 20, 2014, President Obama, like many presidents before him, used his executive authority to provide relief to millions of undocumented immigrants living and working in the U.S. We thank the President and commend his decision, which we know will provide security to families, students, and workers who contribute every day to our society.congress-act.jpg

But the work is far from over. While the President has taken an important step forward today, by providing short-term relief to people who deserve it, only Congress can fix the longstanding issues with our broken immigration system.

Numerous individuals suffer from inhumane treatment in detention facilities and at the borders, and many others still face the daily threat of deportation.

It’s time for members of Congress to take responsibility and act. As proven today, inaction is no longer an option.

Dear [Decision Maker],

On November 20, 2014, the President took action to provide relief to millions of immigrants who are living in the shadows, yet contributing daily to our society. But while President Obama's announcement of executive action will provide relief for millions, ultimately it is up to Congress to provide a permanent solution to our broken immigration system. We must end the impasse. Congress must fix the broken immigration system.

Sincerely,
