Julia's Mitzvah Project
Friends and family,
I will be celebrating my Bat Mitzvah in Israel this summer. For my Mitzvah Project, I will be raising money for the Jewish girls orphange, Lev LaLev, in Natanya, Israel.
Girls, the same age as me at the Lev Lalev orphanage do not have parents to tuck them in at night, care for them or to do homework with them. While I am blessed I feel very badly for them. I am very grateful that I have a wonderful and loving family that gives me happiness and all that I need. My parents taught me just how important it is to do mitzvot and to help make the world a better place. While I may not be able to change the world by myself, I can hopefully make a world of difference for an Orphaned girl in Israel.
For my Bat Mitzvah I want to help these unfortunate girls have a happier and brighter life. I have chosen to support the Animal Therapy Center that will be located on the property of the orphanage. I know how my dog, Lucy, makes me feel, so I want all the girls at the orphange to have that same feeling that Lucy gives me.
While I am in Israel this summer, I am going to have the opportunity to visit Lev Lalev and celebrate my Bat Mitzvah with all the girls and my family.
Please help me to stop their pain and give them the chance to succeed!
