Welcome to My Personal Page
Hi. My name is Sadie Freifeld and I am 12 years old. I’d like to take a minute and tell you about what I am planning to do for my Mitzvah project for my upcoming Bat mitzvah next year.
A little background first….. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and have been so grateful to the numerous friends and family that have done their mitzvah projects in honor of me by supporting cancer research or the hospitals that I’ve received treatment at and as a result raising thousands of dollars that has definitely made a change and certainly brought awareness.
BUT that’s not what I’ve decided to focus my project on. I wanted to do something for someone that hasn’t been as fortunate as me to have such incredible support behind them. I am traveling to Israel this summer with my family and will be visiting an all-girls orphanage in Netanya called LevLaLev which means in English Heart to Heart. I have chosen to support an orphanage in Israel because Israel is a country that unites all Jews in the world over. It is a country that is OUR HOME and has a very special place and meaning in my heart.
My parsha for my Bat Mitzvah is named Zachor which is Hebrew for Remember. I want these girls to know that they are not forgotten – they are remembered and loved.. my new Israeli sisters. My parents taught me just how important it is to do mitzvot and to help make the world a better place. While I may not be able to change the world by myself , I can hopefully make a world of difference for an Orphaned girl in Israel.
I will be using the money that you donate to bring a meal to the home for the girls and special presents for all the girls that are celebrating their Bat Mitzvah this year along with me. Any extra money will be donated to the orphanage to use at their discretion.
I CAN’T WAIT TO VISIT!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATION TO LevLaLev and helping me to make a great day with the girls and my family!
**PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL DONATIONS WILL GO STRAIGHT TO LEVLALEV. To specifically help in purchasing gifts for the girls - please venmo my mom at @Beth-Freifeld
