Hey Support Squad!

Thank you for viewing my donation page. I’ve been living with Lupus SLE since 2013. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that affects every patient differently. Lupus has changed my life drastically. I constantly deal with joints pains, skin breakouts, and lupus flares. I frequently have doctor's appointments that involve visits to the Rheumatologist, lab work visits, IV infusions, and I take over six pills a day to maintain a somewhat normal life.

Additionally, I’m a mom to a beautiful boy, Jase Alexander. Having Lupus made it difficult for me to conceive, so we are very thankful for our little miracle after years of trying. Juggling Lupus, being a mom, a dog mom, a wife, and working full-time, I'm faced with many challenges. However, I never let it stop me! I am extremely grateful to my husband and support squad for assisting me and holding my hand through this journey.

The Lupus Foundation of America, Atlanta Chapter has assisted me with coping mechanisms to better deal with the many challenges associated with living with lupus. I am a member of the Southside support group. This group meets quarterly to support and build strength among all fellow survivors of this disease. This group is a great support system for those who feel they are alone in the fight.

Supporting the foundation's effort to raise awareness to end this terrible disease brings me great joy. Team Ashley has previously raised over Four Thousand dollars during the Walk to End Lupus Now events since I started in 2013. My goal this year is to raise another Thousand.
