Living with Lupus means having to adapt and adjust to things constantly changing – so that is just what we have been doing. This year, we are BACK TOGETHER and walking IN PERSON on October 21st in Charlotte, NC!
Imagine a day when doctors can say, “There is a cure for lupus.” Until that day though, there is work to be done. That’s why I’m taking action in the fight against lupus. Join me as I participate in Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now™ in North, Carolina, to help improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus? A generous contribution of $25 or $55 can make a definite impact. What’s more, if your employer offers a Matching Gift Program to employees, you may be able to double your contribution with just a little bit of paperwork. Trust me, it’s worth the effort!
I was diagnosed with Lupus at age 45. Now, for over 17 years, it has ruled my life. It has damaged my kidneys, and cold weather affects me. I often have a hard time functioning on a daily basis. I fatigue easily, so it keeps me from enjoying daily activites and a lot of fun activities. The Lupus medications can be harsh with multiple side effects.
Please help me reach my Fundraising goal, so we can get closer to a cure for Lupus. ==
I'm planning a few evening Fundraiser Events: The first one is September 27th, at Rosati's, for my female Scrapbooking friends. Dinner proceeds will go towards the fundraiser, and I will have over a dozen baskets of items to bid on for a silent auction. The Silent Auction takes place that evening and winners will be awarded at the end of the night.
A special dinner event will take place on October 4th, also at Rosati's. Everyone who has lunch or dinner that day, will be contributing. A percentage of every meal will be donated to my fundraiser. A special code will be required. (More details to come later!) Come out and enjoy the evening!
The last evening Fundraiser will be on October 18th. A fun night of Dueling Pianos and a Comedy Show located at Back then Bar and Grill, in Cary at MacGregor Village. Enjoy dinner and drinks before the show. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to my Lupus Fundraiser. (More details will be shared as the dates get closer!)
