Madison Iron Man - Team HP Fundraiser
On September 12, Harry Panagakis will be participating in his first-ever Ironman triathlon, a grueling 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a 26 mile run in Madison, WI. He has been training for this event for a year. Harry would like to use this event to support lymphoma research.
Harry is proud to champion Aimee Lanphere's efforts of raising mission critical funds for the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Aimee is a long time fundraiser and team captain of Hike for Mike, a Chicago Walk team celebrating the memory of her son Mike who passed away from lymphoma. Harry is the proud recipient of the 2019 Mike Lanphere Spirit Award, which is awarded to a Glenbrook South lacrosse player who best exemplifies Mike’s courage, fortitude and good nature. Harry is further motivated to raise funds in memory of his beloved grandmother who passed away from lymphoma complications.
Thanks to all who have contributed so far and helped Harry achieve his original goal of $5000 - which was reached within 24 hours of going live on this page - as well as his revised goal of $10,000 which was reached a few days later! It’s never too late to give so please join your friends and donate today in the fight against lymphoma.
For the past 25 years, the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) has impacted lives through funding innovative lymphoma research and serving all those touched by lymphoma. These trying times are no exception. In fact, in 2020, LRF funded 15 new early-career scientists and served more than 2 million people through resources and services.
Support for life-saving research and support services is needed now more than ever. Please join us to be a champion for people touched by this blood cancer! Every dollar truly makes a difference!
