Because our support is now more important than ever
For the last 8 years, through hail storms and Uprisings, each May I've taken to the roads to ride my bike in support of Moveable Feast's mission. This year, that simply won't be possible. The Ride as it was planned simply can't go on in the wake of COVID-19.
That said, Moveable Feast's mission and commitment to its clients must continue. While many of us have joined the crowds of people who've taken to the grocery stores to stock up to hunker down, for most of Moveable Feast's clients, that's simply not an option. They're already sick, home bound and/or dealing with some level of immunosuppresion that makes venturing out in today's climate impossible.
We will ride bikes together again. In the meantime though, Moveable Feast is facing an extraordinary challenge to serve their clients without being able to enlist the help of volunteers in their kitchen and our financial support is critical to keep this up.
So with that said, I ask you still consider supporting my "Ride" and our Rebel team.
For 31 years, Moveable Feast, has been providing home-delivered nutritious meals to Marylanders living with HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and other serious illnesses and will continue to do so through this crisis with your support. Our mission to Feed People, Fight Disease, and Foster Hope is needed now more than ever.
