Through March 8 -- Mary Stuart at Folger Elizabethan Theatre. Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland, has been imprisoned under charges of attempted regicide. Her captor and cousin Queen Elizabeth I cannot bring herself to sign the death decree. In a society where woman are considered inferior, these two queens charged with ruling as kings, battle sexism, greed, lust, and climactically each other.   • Saturday, March 14, 2:30pm -3:30pm -- Sharpen Your Swords - Shakespeare’s Swordplay and Wordplay at the Southeast Anchor Branch, Enoch Pratt Free Library, Highlandtown, 3601 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224. Live sword combat, and an audience-participation reading, plus display of books about swords and Shakespeare.
  • Thursday, April 2, 4pm to 5pm -- April Foolishness: Go On, Insult Me Shakespeare created hundreds of words, phrases and insults that have stuck with us through the ages. The Teen Department in the library presents an afterschool, audience-participation lesson in the power of words, with CSC teaching artists.

Saturday and Sunday at 11:30am; Tuesday-Friday at 12:30pm -- One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure at the Maryland Science Center Davis Planetarium in Baltimore. Big Bird, Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu, a Muppet from China, take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth. One World, One Sky is a brilliant spectacle of light and color as the furry friends watch the stars twinkle over Sesame Street. Children can interact as they watch, drawing constellations and counting the time it takes the sun to set. Info and to confirm times: www.mdsci.org.
