Help Oakcrest walk to Jamaica!!!!!
Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) provides lifelong and loving residential care to over 650 children and adults with disabilities around the world. Because of Covid19, Oakcrest has had to postpone our service trip to Jamaica scheduled for August of this year. MSC relies heavily on the service trips for its financial support, work with the residents, and prayers. The cancellation of service trips has been devastating to MSC. It has lost over $2,000,000 since the beginning of the pandemic.
So instead of going to Jamaica by plane, we have decided to walk to Jamaica. It is roughly 2,600 miles to Jamaica and back. Each 2020 team member has the goal of walking 100 miles in 100 days between May 8th and August 15th, the last day of our original mission trip. As a team, our goal is to walk 2,600 miles. If you are able, we ask you for help.
There are three ways to help financially: you can donate directly to this portal, you can sponsor one of our team members with a pledge, or you can join us for the walk and raise pledges. If you choose to sponsor a team member or walk yourself, please see Oakcrest's web page for more information.
Any way you can help would be greatly appreciated. Of course, the most important thing you can do is to pray for MSC and Oakcrest's efforts to support it. Thank you for anything you can do!
