Everesting for MS
Caleb Bender and Alex Amiri will be Everesting for MS. We want to join the fight alongside our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers who are affected by MS.
Everesting is an activity in which cyclists ascend and descend a given hill multiple times, in order to have cumulatively climbed 8,848 metres (the elevation of Mount Everest).
Alex and Caleb will be taking on this challenge on August 1st. They will be riding a 1.3km portion of road on Vancouver Island, south of the Cowichan Valley in the Goldstream Heights community. They will both have to complete this portion of road 74 times, totalling close to 200km, and of course, over 8800m of elevation gain.
Feel free to visit the personal fundraising pages of Alex and Caleb to donate, and read about their connections to MS, and how they are affected.
If you are unable to cycle with us at MS Bike, please dont hesitate to donate to our team’s fundraising today. Your donation will help continue to fund leading-edge research and support programs that improve the quality of life for people affected by MS. Caleb and Alex encourage you to reach out, and cheer them on for this challenge. They hope to become more involed in the local MS community, and would love to hear from you.
