Can you imagine...
Having multiple sclerosis means that one morning you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are many and vary for everyone. It's estimated that approximately 90,000 men and women in Canada have the disease, and every day about three more people are diagnosed.
...a future without MS
Since 2000, my supporters have enabled $56,000 to be contributed to research, clinics and services for patients, information & social action through the MS Society of Canada.
In 2020, MS Bike became Virtual. We each rode our separate ways, and came together via Zook for a huge nationwide rally. The fundraising momentum continued apace, and my MS Bike supporters such as you contributed over $3000.
The Virtual MS Bike has been developed for 2021 into a series of Challenges. I am one of over a hundred nationwide who far signed up to collectively ride 90,000km in honour of the 90,000 and more Canadians who carry an MS diagnosis this year. Maybe you would like to join us on the ride?
Alternatively, please consider sponsoring me as I ride at least 300km in my new (hilly!) Laurentians locale. A suggested sponsorship is 10c / km ($30). Will you help me get to $3000 this year? You can donate on this website. Alternatively send me a cheque payable to “MSS Canada”. Whatever amount you can give, it will help my $3000 target be reached.
Best wishes for the summer of 2021 as we help the “Let's Stop MS” dream be realised!
