Why I’m gearing up
Hello, I am contacting you with my short story and a request. My sister-in-law Jeannie and good friend Carol continue to live difficult lives with the dreadful debilitating disease of Multiple Sclerosis. It slowly steals quality of life from those who have MS. That is the biggest reason I choose. to ride every year. Every day 3 more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure....yet.
Your support means my husband Bill's sister Jeannie, our friend Carol and perhaps someone you know who are impacted by this devastating disease do not have to face MS alone. I will be doing this ride for the 19th l year in the Niagara Region on August 18th with our team, The Kitchener Breakaways. Most of you have been wonderful supporters in the past and I so appreciate that. I hope I can count on you again for your support. You might be receiving this email for the first time and I do hope you will seriously consider my request. An online donation is an easy way to donate but if you prefer a cash or cheque donation, please let me know very soon so I can arrange to meet with you. I ride in less than 11 days, in August 18th God bless your day. Thanks.
