Virtual MS Bike in 2020
With COVID-19 interfering with the normal MS Bike Ride, it's been changed to a virtual tour this year. Instead of the large group event in June, each rider will take a personal challenge for MS Bike.
The bike tour is normally a return trip from Sussex to Saint John. My personal challenge will be to ride the same roads, but starting from my home in the middle.
On Saturday, July 25, I'll be riding from Hampton, through Kingston, to the edge of Saint John and back for a distance of 72 km. The next day, I'll travel the opposite direction through Norton and Apohaqui to Sussex, then returning for an additional 73 km. It will be a total of 145 km over the weekend.
Why I'm gearing up
Every day 3 more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means families who are impacted by this often devastating disease do not have to face MS alone.
Your dollars at work
When you pledge me in the MS Bike, your funds are invested into groundbreaking MS research and services for the 100,000 Canadians living with MS.
Services and programs your fundraising supports:
- Financial assistance for special equipment and home care
- Supportive counselling for all those affected by MS
- Self-help groups and recreational programs for people with MS
- Government advocacy for people living with MS
Thank you in advance for your pledge to create a more hopeful future for those affected by MS.
