First off, I want to thank everyone who helped me crush my 2020 goal for my last year on Big Red. I was blown away by the support I received which brought me to be the Toronto event's top fundraiser!
This year, I will be debuting Little Red who is the bike of my dreams with her functioning gears and custom fit frame. As with tradition, I plan on riding 2 additional kms than I did the previous year which will bring me to 60k. For those who dont know this tradition, I accidentally got lost the first year and rode 4k off course. The second year I accidentally rode 6k off course and so last year I intentionally rode an additional 8k. Therefor, this year, I'll be completing an additional 10k.
Now for the serious stuff...
As you may know, I was diagnosed with Relapse Remitting Multuple Sclerosis in January 2014 after I had noticed some numbness in my ankle and leg on New Years Day. With the exceptional support of the MS Clinic's team at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, I have been fortunate enough to have access to medication and testing which has helped me live without a single relapse since I was diagnosed.
The money raised will continue to support research and programs that improve the quality of life for those affected by MS.
Thank you so much for your support!
