Why I’m cycling to end MS
I have been living with MS since 1992, I was living in Pemberton at the time running our Hard Hat Cafe/ catering business, and having babies... So this diagnosis brought me to a complete halt. Since then I have definately had my challenges and many limitations, but the show must go on... This year marks my 27th year and I am so grateful for my life!!!! 4 amazing kids, 4 grandkids, 32 years with Tony by my side, living & working here on the beauty Sunshine Coast BC.
I place such an importance on my daily self care..New lesions have appeared this year.. and I experience and work with new challenges affecting my lower body mobility, & function.
I love to ride my e bike and I am so excited to participate again this year with friends and family in the Okanagan MS Bike event in Sept. I continue to work to strengthen my body especially my legs, my goal is to be well enough to ride the whole day. I truly appreciate all the love and support...
Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world. Every day three more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means Canadian families who are affected by this disease do not have to face MS alone.
When you donate to my fundraising efforts for the MS Bike, your funds are invested into research to find the cause and cure for the disease, while providing services to Canadians with multiple sclerosis and their families.
Thank you in advance for joining the fight to end MS.
