Welcome to the 2021 MS Bike!
This year I have set my fundrasing goal at $2000. Last year marks the first year I participated in the MS Bike and with the COVID-19 restrictions, the ride transitioned to a virtual route of your choice. I chose to do a 100km ride, but this year I plan to ride what is known in the cycling world as a Century (100 Miles!!). While I train for a ride of this length, I also plan to ride a kilometre for every dollar I raise, stay tuned to the blog on this page for updates.
Why I’m cycling to end MS
Canada has the highest rate of MS in the world. Every day three more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means Canadian families who are affected by this disease do not have to face MS alone.
Funds raised at MS Bike continue to support leading-edge research and support programs that improve the quality of life for those affected by MS. When you donate to my fundraising you’ll help continue this incredible work.
My Personal Web Log
First off, I want to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity in these turbulent times. Together, through your support, we have raised $1385.30 for this great cause in the month of April alone, which means I am only $614.70 away from my goal.
As for riding 1km for every dollar donated, I was able to put a small dent in the amount I owe to my donors. Unfortunately, I can not post pictures in this blog so you will have to take my word for it when I tell you the totals. According to Garmin, I logged 265 km in April.
