2020 has been an incredibly different and difficult year for many of us. Everything from front line workers dealing with waves of very sick patients while learning to keep themselves and their families safe as well. Unfortunately some lost family and friends. We all had to learn how to self isolate and wear mask when leaving home.
Now in 2021 with more vaccines coming available there is hope for a return to times when we can gather together. We are on the way to that vision and one day we will say the same for finding a cure for MS.
If this year you can and you want to make a difference in the lives of those who live with MS, please sponsor me in my ride this year. Any amount is apprecaited.
In the past we've riden together from Leduc to Camrose and back, almost 2000 riders strong. Last year in my first Virtual Bike Ride I rode here in Slave Lake. There is an 8 kilometre Ring Road around Slave Lake. I was literally riding around town! I chose this route as I'm always close to home and can ride safely.
This is my 22nd year and again riding with a great team, with some joining on the July ride and some will ride with me in the Virtual ride in September . This year we can ride on July 10th in the MS Ride in Camrose or in the Virtual Bike on September 18th. I am planning on riding in Camrose for the MS Ride in July and also on the Virtual Ride in September here in Slave Lake. I will be training on that route from now until the weekend in July and will continue to train until the September Ride. Don't forget to honk if you see me, and I will try and wave if the road permits. Below are some facts on MS and what your donation will do to help find a cure. If you have time take a look and learn more about some of the symtoms of MS and incredible research that is currently going on thanks to your donations.
Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world and I have decided to make a difference by participating in MS Bike.
Every day three more Canadians are diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure, but with your help we can change this.
Your donation to my fundraising goal will help fund research to find the cause, better treatments, and ultimately a cure for MS.
Thank you in advance for making a difference in lives of Canadians living with MS. Together, we can end MS.
