Why I’m cycling to end MS
In 2017 my dear friend Nance Bass invited me to join her in the ride to end MS. I declined her offer as I didn't think that I would be able to complete the necessary amount of daily cycling. As it happens, I later regretted my decision. In August, 2017, I committed to Nance that I would ride with her in 2018 to support this very worthy cause. I am delighted to let you know that I participated in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 MS Bike rides. As in 2020, this year I plan to complete the MS Bike ride by cycling through Vancouver instead of the Fraser Valley due to Covid-19.
As a Canadian, I feel that it is very important to raise funds so that we can end. MS. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world. Like lots of you, I know someone who is impacted by MS. Every day three more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure.
Your support means Canadian families who are affected by this disease do not have to face MS alone.
When you donate to my fundraising efforts for the MS Bike, your funds are invested into research to find the cause and cure for the disease, while providing services to Canadians with multiple sclerosis and their families.
Thank you in advance for joining the fight to end MS.
