My name is Alexander Amiri. This summer I’ll be strapping on my helmet, and Everesting for MS on August 1st.
Multiple sclerosis has a ripple effect that impacts not only the lives of those diagnosed by the disease, but also their family and community. That’s why I am asking for you to support my fundraising.
Like past years, this year I will be riding with my Mom in mind. My mom has suffered from MS for as long as i have been alive. This year due to covid 19 i havent been able to spend real quality time with my mom, and have been limited to window visits. Its difficult to see her some days, and now I feel i can really make a difference, no matter how small or how large.
what is everesting? Everesting is an activity in which cyclists ascend and descend a given hill multiple times, in order to have cumulatively climbed 8,848 metres (the elevation of Mount Everest). in my case, i will be riding a portion of Goldstream Heights on Vancouver Island 74 times to total the elevation of Mount Everest.
Funds raised at MS Bike continue to support leading-edge research and support programs that improve the quality of life for those affected by MS. When you donate to my fundraising you’ll help continue this incredible work.
With every pedal stroke and donation we’ll further the fight against MS.
Thank you in advance for your donations, and your support. if you are in the area and have the time, come by on August 1st and cheer me on! Your support is what will make a difference.
while donations make a difference, I feel that spreading more knowledge about MS and keeping people informed about its causes and effects will broaden peoples understanding of this disease. I hope i can help spread this knowledge.
