11th Annual SUP4MS -
Virtual Paddleboard Fundraiser on Lake Ontario
Friday September 4th to Monday September 7th
The SUP4MS started as a 65km fundraising paddle by Mike Sandusky and Grant Kennedy from Hamilton to Toronto. To date we've raised over $100,000 in funds for MS! The event has grown to include over 100 paddlers on the water.
For 2020 our event will be different given the current situation. The event will be a virtual paddle where you're encouraged to paddle at your favourite body of water with your friends while keeping socially distant. As we all know, paddleboarding is one of the best activities to practice social distancing!
We have a four day holding period so you can complete your paddle in ideal conditions for you or your group. This year the route is up to you - it can be as long or as short as you'd like. We'd also encourage you to introduce someone new to the sport as part of the event. Share boards or borrow a board from a friend and have a good time on the water while spreading the word about Multiple Sclerosis' impact on Canadians.
Please take photos and if you can, record your route. We'd love to see footage of where you paddled. Tag #sup4ms2020 on social media.
The top 5 fundraisers will be awarded prizes - they will be available either for pick up at our shop or shipped out if you're not in the Toronto area.
We understand these are challenging times so we appreciate your support in any capacity; it is greatly appreciated.
Wishing you all the best in health this year and 'see' you on the water!
