What is the registration fee?

The cost to participate in MS Golf Calgary Presented by Miller Thomson is $150 per golfer.

What are the fundraising requirements?

Each golfer must raise a minimum of $150 to participate.

Are there rewards for fundraising?

Yes, when you fundraise over $1000 you are eligible to receive a gift card. The more you fundraise the more you can earn! You can also be part of the Mission First Club and help us direct more money to research and services by donating your prize back and you will receive a tax receipt for the value.

Where is the golf tournament?

The tournament will be held at Elbow Springs Golf Couse located at 240086 Lott Creek Drive, Calgary, Alberta T3Z 2V4

What time does it start?

The day kicks off with a breakfast at 8:00am, and practice time on the driving range (or take a browse at the silent auction and raffle items) and the shotgun start begins at 9:00am.

What do I do once I arrive?

When you arrive at Elbow Springs we will require each golfer to sign in at the registration table by the clubhouse. You will be able to drop off any pledges you may have.

Once you’ve registered, feel free to make your way into the clubhouse and enjoy breakfast, and take a look at the many silent auction items available to be won. Feel free to warm up on the driving range before you head out for a shotgun start of 9:00am.

What should I wear?

Elbow Springs requires all tournament players and their guests wear appropriate golf sportswear attire at on the course and practice facilities. This will include golf slacks, golf shorts and golf shirts with sleeves for the men and golf tops with sleeves and/or collars for the ladies. Golf hats and visors are also permitted. Tee shirts bearing large advertisements or unsightly logos, tank tops with narrow shoulder straps and/or scooped necklines and denim products are not appropriate golf sportswear.

Will there be food?

In addition to breakfast you can expect food holes on the course. Once all golfers are done (around 2:00) we will be serving a delicious mid day dinner in the clubhouse.

What is the tournament format?

In scramble format, all players tee off, choose which shot is best and all play their next shots from the location of the best shot. Play continues in this fashion for all of the 18 holes. Players must use each players shot at least twice.

Be sure to record your score, and once submitted, we will calculate your final team tally.

Once I’m finished golfing, what can I expect?

Once you have finished your round, please bring your scorecards to the Pro Shop. Then make your way into the clubhouse for dinner, a short program, and silent auction.

Will there be proximity prizes?

Yes, all proximity prizes (i.e. longest putt, closest to pin etc.) will be marked with signs. Please clearly write your name on the sheet provided on the marker. Winners will be announced during the dinner program. Good luck!

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard. There is also an ATM in the clubhouse.

What if we only have a twosome?

If you register with less than four players, you may be paired with another group or individual.
