21 years of golfing for a cure for MS ...
My first encounter with MS was in 1979. I worked as an auxiliary nurse at Addenbrooke's in Cambridge, England. There I encountered many frightening examples of how debilitating this disease can be.
When I received the diagnosis myself in 1998, foremost on my mind was: What would be in store for me?
I have the MRI images to show the lesions on my brain, but I have been fortunate enough to only have had that one significant episode in 1998 - a period of time where my legs would not obey signals from my brain. However, while I have recovered most of my agility and strength since my first attack, others are not as fortunate; these are the people I golf and fundraise for now.
Please support my fundraising efforts, and together we will continue the search for the cure.
