Why we’re walking to end MS:

Multiple sclerosis can strike anyone at any moment, and Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world. Supporting the MS Walk means being involved in a community that is driven to improve the lives of those affected by the disease. The funds you donate to the MS Society are invested in accelerating the pace of MS breakthroughs.

We don’t know what causes MS and there is no cure. Your support means Canadian families who are affected by this disease do not have to face MS alone.

A personal note (from Nat):

I was diagnosed with MS in the fall of 2016. Since then I have been on three different medications and had minor flare-ups but since going on a new infusion medication I have been symptom free in 2019.

Because of this, MS doesn't have a physical impact on my daily life. But it does make me want to raise more money for the MS Society of Canada. It's because of funding and research that I am able to manage this disease and hopefully prevent future damage. It also makes me want to support those that struggle with MS on a daily basis.

Any amount you can donate will go toward finding the cause / cure and will show your support for me and others living with MS in Canada. This year will be my third year participating in the MS Walk and I was blown away the first two years by the encouragement and enthusiasm of family and friends. By donating to F.U.M.S you become part of a great support system - thank you so much!
