Guelph MS Walk

A team for Bean

Hannah is the most amazing 18 year old girl! She was diagnosed with MS last July, in this last year she has relapsed 6 times, has had her cochlear implant magnets removed to allow for MRIs, has had an anaphylactic reaction to one of her medications, has endured liver complications due to another, has had to pause her college program due to the discomfort and uncertainty of living with MS during a pandemic. She had the first cochlear implant ex-plant and re-implant at the beginning of this month, she will have the second ex-plant at the end of this month, and is on yet another MS therpay to slow the progression of her disease. Anybody that knows Hannah knows that she keeps smiling through it all, has not yet complained or asked "why me" she just keeps saying, "ok, that didnt work, what next?" she laughs all the time she tries to make everyone around her smile and she will tell you "don't worry about this, I am going to be perfectly fine, I already decided"

Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world and, on average, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with this unpredictable disease every day. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet.

We’re participating in MS Walk because we want to support our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers who are affected by MS.

Join our team as we challenge MS and help empower more people affected by the disease to live their best lives.

If you are unable to join us at MS Walk, donate to our team’s fundraising today. Your donation will help continue to fund leading-edge research and support programs that improve the quality of life for people affected by MS.
