Another Virtual MS Walk.
The pandemic has had many of us reflecting on days gone by and perhaps happier times. So while I continue to look hopefully to the future, I thought I would post one of my first videos from the walk in 2013.
I volunteer for the MS Society and most recently have been doing welcome calls for people that are registered for the walk. I have talked to many people that have done the walk for years and are now doing it virtually. I have also talked to many people that are new to the walk or returning after a few years. I have spoke to several people who are newly diagnosed and like me, 30+ years ago; the walk is their first entry into the world of MS. This year I also had the opportunity to speak on a virtual panel for the Western University MS Club.
This is a difficult time but now more than ever the MS Society needs your support. A rather sobering statistic is that every day 12 Canadians are diagnosed with MS. So I feel it is important that the walk continue to raise funds for both research and to support people living with MS and I appreciate your support.
