This handsome fellow is my dad, Harry. He was a strong man, a proud man, and dedicated man. He loved all sports, doing triathlons, working out, hiking, being active. Unfortunately all of those things were taken from him as is MS progressed. These are the things I try and remember when I am complaining about going to the gym, it is a gift to be able to get up and move your body!
He was taken too soon! For that reason and many more I am walking to support the continuation of life changing research. I am excited by the progress made in treatments for this horrible disease and hope that one day in my lifetime the incredible men and women working so hard find a cure!
Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world, and on average, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with this unpredictable illness every day. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet.
Thank you for supporting our MS Walk community. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.
