It's that time of year again! Pete and I will be doing the MS Walk for the 16th year! In that time, with the help of many friends and family (who have walked with us and sponsored us), we have raised just over approximately $45,500 and we are asking for your support again this year.
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with MS in 2004 and didn't know how I would be affected. MS is a very random and unpredictable disease. I went to Costa Rica for the controversial Liberation Treatment 10 years ago and it changed my life. I was able to get up and take control of my life by getting healthy and I haven't looked back.
Pete and I fundraise in order to help find a cure and to help fund programs in the community that help people who are not as fortunate as I am and rely on these services to be able to live their every day lives with a bit of normalcy and a bit of dignity. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world and the average age of diagnosis is between 20 and 40. There are different types of MS and every person has different challenges.
So once again, I am asking for your help. Please sponsor me for the 2021 walk and I thank you in advance for your support.
