This year, I will again be taking part in the MS Walk. It's not known what causes MS, and there is no known cure. It is called "Canada's disease".
I was diagnosed with MS in Nov 2015. It can strike anyone, and obviously, at any age. It is NOT life threatening, but it is certainly life altering - very, very much so. :( The support of my family and friends has been tremendous.
Research continues and a lot of advancements continue to be made. Please support me in my walk to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society so that their excellent research can continue.
Why I’m walking to end MS
MS is an unpredictable illness that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world. On an average day, ELEVEN more Canadians are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, 3/4 of them female. We don’t know what causes MS, and there is no cure ... yet!
Your support means families who are affected by this disease do not have to face MS alone.
Your donation is invested into research to find the cause and cure for the disease, while providing services to us Canadians with multiple sclerosis and their families.
Thank you in advance for joining the fight to end MS!
