Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world, and on average, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with this unpredictable illness every day. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet.
I am participating in MS Walk because last year on May 10, 2019 I was diagnosed with a very agressive case of RRMS after battling severe symptoms of the disease for months before, and knowing nothing about MS before they started. I very quickly did my own research on the disease and finding that I had a majority of all the symptoms linked to the disease, I had self diagnosed myself long before my diagnosis from the MS specialist. My first relapse continued to last months after the diagnosis aswell and a some points was almost unbearable, it is truly a life changing disease. It is unfortunate that there has been no known cause or cure for MS. With everyone's help with fundraising and even a small donation mabye one day this can be changed to help all those who live with MS or someone you may know in your life with MS, and to further prevent those from getting this disease, as it is not something anyone should have to live with.
When you make a donation to my fundraising, you are helping continue this incredible work.
Thank you for supporting our MS Walk community. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.
